What are we looking for?
We seek an experienced Accountant to assist the General Manager with all aspects of financial and management accounting. You will ensure compliance with key industry regulations, drive process improvements, and support franchise owners with financial reporting and analysis.


What are you expected to do?

Financial Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly financial processes, including HCP claim reconciliation.
  • Oversee pay runs, invoicing, bill payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts and consolidated financial reports.
  • Support financial queries related to reporting, invoices, and client statements.
  • Analyze franchise business performance and prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet reports.
  • Ensure tax compliance and reporting.
  • Conduct the annual budget process and report on sales data and KPIs.
  • Administer online portals (e.g., Department of Human Services) for Home Care Packages (HCP).
  • Reconcile income from care supplements and fees under the HCP system.
  • Liaise with auditors and manage audit requirements.

Administrative and Business Functions

  • Maintain financial systems (e.g., Xero, Visual Care) and continuously improve processes.
  • Conduct internal audits of franchise members and support bookkeeping functions.
  • Provide training and development for finance team members and franchise owners.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships empathetically, ensuring professional and positive interactions.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain functional continuity during absences.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive financial documentation in line with policies and regulations.
  • Complete and maintain records as per quality standards and legislative frameworks.
  • Prepare and contribute to organizational improvement through detailed reporting.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce, majoring in Accounting.
  • You hold CPA or CA certification or similar professional bodies.
  • You have 3–5 years of Australian accounting experience working with accounting, AU payroll, invoicing and financial reporting.
  • You bring financial acumen and experience with national multi-site businesses.
  • You have strong skills in Xero, enterprise management software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You can manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • You are committed to continuous learning and compliance with industry standards.

  • You possess postgraduate qualifications in Accounting or a related field.

    What happens after you submit your application?

    The whole process takes around 4 weeks:

    • There will be 3-4 interviews and a possible assessment from our client partner. You will undergo an initial interview, a culture interview, and 1-2 interviews with our cool client. This will run for about 1-2 weeks but we will let you know if we need to ramp it up. Be yourself and have fun.
    • We will constantly communicate with you as to the development of your application. You can also directly communicate with us to ask us about the status of your application.
    • If all goes well, we complete the reference check and provide other necessary requirements so we can offer you the job right away.
